Academy Headmaster
Our Headmaster of the Academy, Shifu Yan Kun is a 34th Generation Disciple of Shaolin Temple China, personally selected by Grand Abbot Shi Yong Xin.
Shifu Yan Kun, has over 3 decades of martial arts experience and almost 2 decades worth of coaching and mentoring students to championships.
Having lived and trained at the famous Shaolin Temple in China in 2004, Shifu Yan Kun became proficient in Chinese Martial arts. In June 2009 he sat an exam by the Shaolin Wushu Association of Henan at that time to be the highest ranked non-Chinese globally, achieving the Shaolin Wushu Duan Wei Level 6 (Dan 6). Renowned for his competition success, Shifu Yan Kun has earned numerous titles in both the UK and China, recognized with 'Certificate of Excellence' awards by Government Officials and featured in media worldwide.
Shifu Yan Kun was a member of the BCCMA Executive Sanda Committee and was the former Great Britain Headcoach. Committed to excellence, he has trained National & International Champions in Traditional Shaolin forms, Long Weapon Shaolin forms, and Sanda Kickboxing, continuing to mentor students of all ages in their journey towards mastery.
Harnessing the physical and mental strength of Shaolin Kung Fu, Shifu Yan Kun is known for his ‘Iron Body’ performing the Hard Qi Gong talent for enduring breaking metal bars and bricks on his head. With his vast experience of travelling world wide with his students representing Great Britain as the GB Team for competitions and performances, he has coached many students to winning championships. Being featured in UK media and magazines for his talent & achievements, he is known for his work with the Arsenal football coaching football players for PR events, featuring on Hip hop videos, performing on UK & European stages for Chinese events & promotions.

Laoshi Mo Dalong is an accomplished Tai Chi Master and a devoted preserver of traditional Chinese martial arts. His journey began in early 2018, inspired by the art's serene movements, balance, and its profound connection to both physical and mental well-being. Over the years, he has dedicated himself to mastering multiple Tai Chi lineages, earning international recognition for his expertise and contributions.
Guided by Grandmaster Li Guoqiang, one of China’s "100 Martial Arts Masters," Master Mo Dalong’s journey reflects a deep connection to traditional teachings. As a licensed coach with the Hong Kong International Wushu Association, his expertise is recognized on a global scale.
As the Tai Chi Head Teacher at Shaolin Kung fu Academy Dubai and Deputy Director of Guoqiang Tai Chi Academy Training Station in Dubai, Master Mo Dalong mentors students of all ages, guiding them to achieve physical mastery and mental harmony through Tai Chi.

Laoshi Maeline, known for her dedication to preserving traditional Chinese martial arts, is an accomplished Tai Chi Master with a remarkable journey and lineage. Since beginning her Tai Chi practice in 2017, she has passionately devoted herself to mastering and promoting this ancient art. Over the years, she has gained international recognition for her expertise and contributions to the martial arts community.
Guided by Grandmaster Li Guoqiang, one of China’s "100 Martial Arts Masters," Master Maeline has built a strong foundation in Tai Chi’s traditional teachings. She is also a licensed coach with the Hong Kong International Wushu Association, reflecting her commitment to excellence in both practice and instruction.

In addition to her broader teaching expertise, Master Maeline is renowned for her ladies-only classes, where she integrates traditional Chinese practices and Qigong.
